When we announced that we have rebranded Inversk Magazine to Inversk Business Review, we’ve not had a day without a request on how one can share their knowledge and business experience with our readers.
So you want to write a guest article for IBR? Let’s make sure we are on the same page.
Being a contributor at IBR does not offer you an opportunity to promote your
business. The magazine will only provide the opportunity for you to put forward your best
advice and help readers accomplish their goals. Our readers always come first. If you
want to use the magazine to promote your business that is not the proper way.
By becoming a contributor at IBR, you position yourself as an authority over your area
of specialization, to boost your credibility as an entrepreneur/specialist as well as
impact other entrepreneurs positively through sharing your knowledge with them.
If you want to speak directly to an audience of committed and curious entrepreneurs
who are hungry for ways they can grow their businesses, IBR is the place.
What to write:
Our readers at Inversk Business Review are business leaders and management
executives who are hungry for information that will help them grow and scale their
businesses. We therefore publish actionable content in management, finance,
leadership, growth strategies, technology, feature stories and articles.
Write usable tips that our readers can put to use right away. The advice you share
should be clear enough for a reader to put into action. The best tips are often ideas
and concepts that our readers haven’t heard or seen before but offer them a new
solution to a common business problem. Consider your personal entrepreneeurial or
career experience. What problems have you overcome? What unique perspectives can
you bring? Tell that story.
Please note that your article has to be high quality: we take a lot of pride in delivering
only the best content to the Inversk community. Your article must not have been
previously published on any site or publication, it must be original and exclusive to
Inversk. If your content has been published anywhere else before, we don’t want it.
We will reject any content already published on other sites or in print and further
blacklist your from submitting any content to all our platforms.
Further to that, your article should be detailed and well articulated and should run
somewhere between 1,500 to 3,000 words.
Once published on the IBR, you are not permitted to re-post your article on any
website or media outlets. We may publish it at Inversk Digital or IBR blog as gated
content but that is not guaranteed.
What to do:
- Read the above guidelines to get familiar with the content we share
- Come up with a great idea. It should be within your area of interest or expertise. We
want you to write something that you would want to read yourself.
- Pitch to us. Send our editor a proposal by filling the form below – not a full article.
- Keep it brief: three tentative headlines and two or three sentences explaining what your article will be about; and one sentence saying why you are qualified to write on the
- Use this link here.
Based on this proposal we will let you know within two business days whether to
submit your article. If you do not hear from us in that time, please assume that we will
not be able to publish your submission; you should then feel free to offer your content
If your request is approved, we will request you to send us the full article, brief bio
(This means: your name; the name of your company (with a link to your website); and
two of your favorite social media links.) and profile picture to accompny the article
How often should a contributor write?
There is no magic formula or number. It depends on what you’re writing about and
what message you want to send to readers. Our magazine is published 4 times a year.
However, you cam publish your articles on our blog twice a week, weekly, every other week and monthly. If you’re writing about a niche topic it’s probably best to scale back.
