Optiven Emerges as Top Employer In East Africa

Kenya’s top real estate company – Optiven Group, has been called out for being the best employer in East Africa.

At a forum held in the Tanzanian capital Dar Es Salam on Wednesday 19th June 2019, Optiven was singled out for best practices in Human Resource, Employer Branding and outstanding professionalism among several countries from the East African region.

According to the awarding company – East Africa Best Employer Brand Awards 2019 – Optiven Group was lauded for it’s contribution to ‘Talent Management, Development and Innovation”. This comes as Optiven has in 2019 kickstarted a mentorship programme targeting 50 graduates from different universities with the aim of exposing them to the work environment. Already the mentorship model by Optiven has been requested for adoption by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance of which Optiven Group is a member. On development, Optiven Group has expanded it’s base in the region through providing an array of employment opportunities in hospitality, real estate, construction, entertainment and property management among others.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, the group Chief Executive Officer, George Wachiuri said, “the award is humbling and goes to show that Optiven is on the right track towards socially and economically transforming the society. We continue to empower our staff who make the company what it is by providing a fun and empowered environment for them to flourish.” He concluded by noting that the award was for all the staff working under the Optiven Group and for their contributions to making the organization a big success.

Optiven has been coveted as the top company with the best practices in HR, Employer Branding and outstanding professionals among several countries from the region.

Optiven’s contribution to “Talent Management, Talent Development and Talent Innovation” was considered as a key factor in setting the pace among the region’s employers.
