Safaricom Launches Its Second Largest Call Centre In Eldoret
Safaricom, one of Kenya’s leading mobile service providers has launched its second largest call centers in Eldoret town, an investment the company says will be able to offer employment opportunities to 800 locals. They say that part of their strategy is to offer 300 internship positions for college students studying in Uasin Gishu County with the aim of tapping talent from the other local universities as it ramps up its customer care division in the wake of growing products being offered by the network.
The newest baby for Safaricom is located along Uganda Road opposite Rupa Mall. It increases Safaricom’s capacity to handle and resolve queries posted from the calls that go up to 150,000 per day. Eldoret now becomes home to two fully operational Safaricom retail shops.
