Manchester United is counting increase in debt by £140 m, which debt rising from £247.2m to £384.5 m which accounts to arise of 55%. A rise which has caused a displeasure to fans more especially with how its run by Glazer family, the owners, and Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

In the financial quarter year of 2019/20, they posted a revenue of £135 m an increase of approximately £400,000 from the previous financial year.

This can be greatly attributed with drop due to not having the club in the Champions League Football for this season. According to some of the United’s fans supporters, the administration of the club is controversial thus has led to major declines in the games at the field and the debt increase.

The commercial revenue increased by a merge of 5.9% accounting for £80.4m from the previous year. But a lot of its revenue seems to head to the development structure like academies. Out of their academies they brag to having produced the best players with global outsourcing skills having an A game.

Executive vice-chairman, Mr. woodman says “We have a clear vision in terms of football philosophy and recruitment. “This can be attest by the significant investment they have made in recruitment infrastructure, transfers and analytics.

A brief history into the raining years of increasing debt, it began in 2005 right after the Glazer family took over and then paying the team approximately £790 million. One of the greatest tragedy is when the family took the club private. They had to deal with huge debt that caused them to having opening its doors to initial public offering(IPO) in 2010.Having such information will explain great details of their coming strategic position in the world map of debt.

This announced debt if not sorted, will lead them in the same position that prompted them to offer IPO. If not so, it will cause an uproar calling for public outcry from its huge fan base that will be more effective now? Manchester united still steps out in the shadows of its former glory.
